Diamondbacks star exits game early due to apparent injury

Diamondbacks star Corbin Carroll exited the game on Sunday, July 19, after appearing to hurt himself on a swing in the seventh inning against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Carroll remained in the game until the ninth inning, when he was replaced by pinch hitter Jorge Barrosa.

Carroll grimaced after taking a swing as he struck out against Cardinals reliever George Soriano. He returned to the dugout and chatted briefly with a trainer before returning to his position in right field for the top of the eighth inning.
The Diamondbacks and Cardinals moved to the 10th inning of their matchup at Chase Field.
