Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Rotary Club of Indore Adarsh, under Rotary International District 3040, organised its seventh installation ceremony and the District Governor's official visit at St Mary's Champion School on Dhar Road.

The programme marked the installation of the club's new office-bearers for the Rotary year 2026–27 and reaffirmed the organisation's commitment to community service.

বিশ্বকাপে আর্জেন্টিনা ফাইনালে উঠলে মহিষ জবাই করে ভোজের আয়োজন করা হবে—এমন ঘোষণা দিয়েছিলেন নেত্রকোনার দুর্গাপুর উপজেলার আর্জেন্টিনা সমর্থকেরা। কথা রাখলেন তাঁরা। গতকাল শনিবার দুই লাখ টাকা দিয়ে একটি মহিষ কেনার পর আজ রোববার সকালে সেটি জবাই করা হয়েছে। সন্ধ্যায় রান্নার পর রাত একটার দিকে ফাইনাল খেলা শুরুর আগে সমর্থকদের মধ্যে খাবার পরিবেশন করা হবে।

প্রতিটি খেলায় সমিতির কার্যালয়ের সামনে বড় পর্দায় খেলা দেখার আয়োজন করা হয় বলে জানান একতা সমিতির উপদেষ্টা তাজুল ইসলাম। তিনি বলেন, ‘আর্জেন্টিনা সমর্থকদের উদ্দেশে আগে ঘোষণা দেওয়া হয়েছিল, দলটি ফাইনালে উঠতে পারলে মহিষ জবাই করে ভোজের আয়োজন করা হবে। আমরা কথা রেখেছি। দুর্গাপুর পৌরসভার মার্কাস মোড় এলাকায় একতা সমিতির কার্যালয়ের সামনে আজ সকালে মহিষটি জবাই করা হয়েছে।’

আর্জেন্টিনা ফাইনালে ওঠায় সমিতির সদস্য ও সমর্থকদের সম্মতিতে দুই লাখ টাকায় একটি মহিষ কেনা হয় বলে জানান একতা সমিতির সভাপতি হোসেন আলী। তিনি বলেন, এটি মূলত সবাইকে নিয়ে একটু আনন্দ উপভোগ করার আয়োজন। খেলা দেখার পাশাপাশি এ আয়োজনের মধ্য দিয়ে সমর্থকদের মধ্যে আনন্দ ও উৎসবের আমেজ তৈরি হয়েছে।

একতা সমিতির সদস্যরা জানান, ফাইনাল খেলা দেখার জন্য স্থানীয় আর্জেন্টিনা সমর্থকদের পাশাপাশি বিভিন্ন শ্রেণি-পেশার মানুষ সেখানে উপস্থিত থাকবেন।
